What is the future of the Veneto region given the threats posed by rising sea levels, heavy rainfall, floods and drought?
Three regional territories are reimagined in 2100 by taking multiple water-based threats and opportunities as the starting point. Widening the riverbeds, establishing spatial corridors to buffer peak water flow, replenishing the groundwater through the use of new reservoirs, storing water to counteract periods of drought, leaving room for the interplay of the rivers and the sea, and accommodating the rising seawater levels are all strategies for shaping a more resilient Veneto.

Low cost design Book – Silvana Editoriale
€35.00[Author: Daniele Pario Perra]
This book is based on a principle, on which the major protagonists of design agree: the best projects are not necessarily those passing by the Patent Office and originating in architecture and design agencies and that are created in front of computers in big companies, but, on the contrary, they are often those coming from the simplicity of everyday life thanks to the smart ideas of “common people”, of anonymous designer to whom Bruno Munari dedicated the “Golden compass award to unknown”. -
Workwear (Abiti da Lavoro) book – Silvana Editoriale
€28.00[Author: Alessandro Guerriero]
This book, published to accompany an exhibition at Triennale in Milan, is an example of how a multidisciplinary approach can be used to examine and inform. Work clothes are transformed from uniforms and the symbols of a profession into the expression of an individual identity, but also into a form of cladding that is at times far removed from its original function. -

The book presents a retrospective of the work of Elliott Erwitt, celebrated 20th-century photographer, through 136 black-and-white photographs. A member of Magnum Photos since 1953, Erwitt is distinguished by his ironic and comic flair for depicting human life, often with stolen shots and a predilection for dogs. This volume includes a critical contribution by Angela Madesani and offers a compelling look at the life and work of this extraordinary photographer. -
