The book gathers the research work of Michele De Lucchi and AMDL CIRCLE, placing it in dialogue with experts from various disciplines who reflect on the design of spaces: a theme that is no longer the exclusive domain of architects, but one that today, more than ever, requires a multidisciplinary and inclusive approach to have a meaningful impact on the quality of life.
What can we architects do for the world to come? We can use ecological materials, we can apply the most advanced technologies, but if we don’t get used to thinking with a sustainable mindset, “it will be pointless to build the greenest house in the world, because inside it we will continue to behave like irresponsible consumers.” We must therefore act with a new way of thinking, one that begins now for the world of tomorrow: through the qualities of space, we can encourage virtuous behaviors inspired by the idea of living well together. This is why we conceived the Earth Stations, visionary architectures designed to foster human relationships.
