A historic address on Via della Spiga, originally built at the end of the eighteenth century, Palazzo Pertusati is now at the heart of a major urban regeneration. Following the completion of works led by Hines Italia, with a design by Scandurra Studio Architettura, the building has been renamed Spiga 26, a new Milanese landmark.

A contemporary and exclusive space, intended for retail and office use. Over 12,000 square meters of building space in the heart of the Quadrilatero della Moda, in central Milan. Overlooking both Via della Spiga and Via Senato, the project frames a 180-square-meter internal courtyard that connects the two architectural bodies, restored in full harmony with the surrounding context.

The volume documents the origin and realization of the project in relation to the historical nature of the site and its more recent evolution. Via della Spiga has become one of Milan’s symbolic locations, capable of bringing together different disciplines and facets of creativity and culture, where design intersects with music, work with fashion, nightlife with shopping.

Silvana Editoriale was founded in 1948 by Amilcare Pizzi, as a way of remembering his daughter Silvana, who died prematurely in 1944. Through his commitment and passion, Pizzi expanded its business by publishing books of enormous value. In the mid-90s, Silvana redefined its publishing strategy, embarking on a path of growth and development on the national and international markets, focused on the fields of art, design, architecture and photography, all of which is documented in the on-site catalogue. Today, Silvana Editoriale publishes more than 400 titles a year in collaboration with Foundations, Research Institutes, Universities and Museums across Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
