Fausta is one of the ceramic moneyboxes from the Muse collection, designed by MM Company for Collezione Caleido. Muse as musine, a Venetian expression for moneyboxes, but also as the figures of women who have always been a source of poetic inspiration. The collection is handmade in Italy.
Muse is the first piece of Collezione Caleido, the brand of objects curated by MM Company creative consultancy agency, in collaboration with Italian craftsmen. Muses as ‘musine’, the Venetian word used for moneyboxes, as well as for the female figures that have always represented a source of poetic inspiration. Muse is a series of ceramic moneyboxes, composed of two distinct parts that together make up a female silhouette: the container is the body, while the removable cap, with its irregular shape, is the head. Muses are available in various shapes (which correspond to the various Muses: Albina, Bice, Clelia, Fausta, Lisa) and natural colors (petroleum, silk pink, cement, pale yellow, and chocolate). Like every object in the Collezione Caleido, Muses are produced by an Italian craftsman, selected by MM Company, who makes manufacturing and cultural excellence its strength. Muses are made by Vania Sartori, a ceramic artist-artisan based in Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The moneybox includes a 0.01€ coin as a token of good luck.

Collezione Caleido was born with the desire to tell the Made in Italy. We selected some artisans throughout the Italian territory who make manufacturing and cultural excellence their strength, and asked them to produce Collezione Caleido’s objects.

Collezione Caleido is a brand of objects curated by the creative consultancy agency MM Company that was born with the desire to tell the story of Made in Italy. Starting from this assumption, MM Company selected a series of artisans throughout Italy who make manufacturing and cultural excellence their strength, and asked them to create objects. Collezione Caleido is therefore a collective project, involving many people: on the one hand, MM Company, creative consultant and designer, and on the other hand, expert craftsmen who give life to its ideas, transforming them into real objects. As designers, we at MM feel it is our duty to safeguard the craft traditions of Made in Italy, enhancing and passing on this knowledge into the future. We created Collezione Caleido just for this reason: to tell and make design lovers understand how much value there is behind an apparently simple object: a world made of knowledge, culture, and many people who every day are committed to making special the made in Italy.
