The volume retraces over 50 years of Antonio Citterio’s work in the field of industrial design, one of the true masters of contemporary design.
Introduced by Andrea Branzi and Francesco Bonami, the book – structured in seven chapters – offers a detailed and extensive account of a body of work that encompasses more than 600 products. All of these share a distinctive style, one that blends discreet, elegant modernity with meticulous attention to detail: from the Diesis series and the Baia sofa, designed with Paolo Nava and marking the beginning of a decade-long collaboration with B&B Italia, to major partnerships with Flexform, Arclinea, Vitra, Flos, and Axor, through to his most recent work with Cassina and Illy.
The rich iconographic repertoire includes product images, archival photographs – some of which reveal behind-the-scenes moments in the creation of design icons – and original sketches by the designer himself.
