BONANNO MAIDEL with the project “Ode alle Amazzoni”

“Ode alle Amazzoni” is a collection that pays tribute to the Amazons icons of female empowerment. In Greek mythology, the Amazons were women warriors, known for their equestrian abilities, their courage, and their pride. The original conception of Amazons is very different from how they are perceived today, but this shows the strength of their “mythos” in the actualization of their own image, the ability to adapt and modify their reflection through time and events, even in unexpected aspects of society, but always following the ideal of independence from the masculine subject. Not as a privilege, but as a right. The key elements of this collection are the horses, symbol of absolute freedom, and the Amazons, symbol of strength and independence. This collection is characterized by values like independence, female empowerment, courage, respect, and love for nature. Every ride is a journey, mostly a physical and emotional one, the best path is the one that can transform and make you feel spiritually free.

MARAGNO GIULIO with the project “MARAGNO”

The main concept on which Giulio Maragno’s creative philosophy is based is the spontaneous expression of freedom and individual uniqueness, beyond any cataloging of gender or convention. This is how the project defines itself as genderless. The style is characterized by soft oversized lines, inspired by the home wear style, combined with references of the 80’s and with the quality of the Made in Italy. The goal is to turn the maze, slightly nostalgic, to things that are both simple and beautiful, inspired by soft shapes, just like hugs. The items are designed in a sartorial way, using quality fabrics: cashmere, wool, and silk, paying particular attention to the concept of “upcycling”.

THE DUO with the project “Amara meraviglia”

The project “Amara meraviglia” consists of a collection that develops starting from the analysis of the emotions aroused during the pregnancy journey, an intimate and personal journey, coming to a focus on the emotions of the birth and the arrival of a new life. The key is applying something purely emotional and conceptual into such a concrete and material project: the fabric is at the center of the collection and its processing, as well as the choice of the materials, comes from the necessity, for the designers, to share their vision of reality and to let the dress, and not the words, to communicate emotional strength.

LICCARDI ROSA with the project “Tellurica – L’art e fa’ succerere”

“Tellurica – L’art e fa’ succerere” was born from the idea of combining origins and passion, in a modern and innovative perspective that focuses on sustainable development. Three forms of energy: geothermal, electric, and emotional. The first comes from the designer’s origins, and in particular, from the city of Pozzuoli (Italy), affected by the phenomenon of bradyseism of the Campi Flegrei. The second comes from the work of the designer’s father, electrician, and from here idea of reusing the abandoned electrical cables. The third is about the passion for tailoring and, in particular, for jackets. The copper core is extracted from the electric cables, then cleaned and segmented to obtain embroidery elements. A project that focuses on the circular economy and on the principles of upcycling in the choice of fabrics, of elements for embroidery and in the production process.

ANTHUSE

“Anthuse” was founded in Milan in 2020, from the friendship between Anna Fabro and Paola Smania. While working both for the Italian luxury fashion industry, they felt the need to express their creativity and to concretely realize what they had learnt. By combining precious fabrics like silk with more technical and sport ones, and thanks to the expert hands of Italian manufacturing laboratories, they developed their first collection, “Chapter One”. “Anthuse” is an “Ode to Blooming”, a no-season project that translates an inner journey of growth and discovery into vibrant printed clothes. A personal and internal, and an external, blooming. The brand’s choice to embrace Made in Italy is the result of all the technical and work knowledge that Anna and Paola accumulated during their years of work. A slow fashion brand to respect the people who work for it and the environment. In the future the hope is to evolve with new prints and projects, improving the ecological impact, with a focus on innovation.

ATANA Designs Ltd with the project “THE NEW OLD”

Craftsmanship has always played an essential role in the world of Atana. As part of this collection at Atana they sought to develop traditional textures like crochet in a new direction with a timeless approach. The challenge was to give these traditional techniques a sense of contemporary design, transforming traditional silhouettes into a modern expression of style. Treir research took them to the old, handcrafted textile collections in their family that revealed an incredible heritage of textures and shapes. As a new independent designer brand, they’ve worked very hard to produce shoes that are based on their own heritage and represent their expression in the fashion industry. The process took them from collaging old pieces of crochet in a completely digital approach to hand-sampling embroidery techniques to test textures and effect – giving this old craft a very new and urban look. The new shapes and forms that emerged were highly textured, reinvigorating, and unique.
