Giacopini: bright metal objects
1. Caleido is a sort of Diary. What is the most significant memory/anecdote, related to your brand, that you would note in your Diary?

If I had to think of the most significant memory of Giacopini now, I would certainly remember the chance meeting with Manuel Barbieri in his previous company, before MM Company. That meeting, which was followed a few years later by the entrusting of the creative consultancy, gave a face and an identity to the brand. The following trade fairs then served to further clarify my ideas on the brand that had just been born. However, without that meeting, Giacopini would certainly not be what it is today.

2. If you had to associate your brand with a song, what would it be? Would you listen to it on vinyl or Spotify?

I don’t use Spotify even though I am an assiduous listener of music in digital format, more than anything else Youtube, Soundcloud and radio. But if I have to think of a song, or rather in this case an album, the thought goes to a vinyl that in this case is linked to a memory linked to adolescence. The first time I was made to listen to “Tubular Bells” by Mike Oldfield was something completely new, fresh and at the same time welcoming. A bit like how Giacopini was perceived by press, interior and retailers. I listen to it both on CD and digitally, more for convenience than anything else, though I obviously keep the vinyl for special occasions. “Tubular Bells” is a 1973 progressive rock album born in turn from the composer’s meeting with a young Richard Branson on his first production with Virgin records.

3. Speaking instead about yourself, how do other people most often describe you? What are the passions, beyond your work, that inspire you most?

I am passionate, stubborn and very precise at work. I am most recognized for my kindness and helpfulness. My passions are many, but surely traveling alone, by bike now, backpacking when I was younger, is definitely the thing that helps me most to connect with myself. From this isolation/openness to the other always comes something inspiring that is then reflected in your daily life, which is work, and how you position yourself in the world.

Giacopini: bright metal objects
Dynamic explorer of a functional-creative philosophy, the brand of furniture and metal accessories Giacopini creates with its collections a combination of style, aesthetics and design technique. Unique, modular and totally customizable objects that respond to the “Bright Metal Objects” company payoff, which perfectly explains how iconic bright and brilliant colors can blend harmoniously with raw components like metal and iron. An alchemical fusion of complementary attitudes, which in Giacopini are molded into original objects that reinterpret this traditional material in a hyper contemporary key. A balance between strength and lightness.
